At the Enhanced Games, a global sports competition planned for 2025, athletes will be allowed to dope “out in the open and honestly.” Event organizers say that over 900 athletes have expressed interest, but retired Australian swimmer James Magnussen has so far been the only one to announce his participation publicly.
We sat down with James to discuss what the reaction has been, how the Enhanced Games could give retired athletes a second shot at glory, and why it may actually be the first truly fair sports competition in decades.
